Fans reacted to Tyrese Haliburton's lackluster showing as the Indiana Pacers fell 123-107 to the OKC Thunder in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday following an impressive Game 1 win. The Pacers struggled to keep up with the Thunder’s offense as Haliburton struggled offensively.

He only scored five points in the first three quarters before stepping on the gas with 12 in the final frame. However, it was too little too late for the Pacers as the series is now tied at 1-1 before shiting to Indiana for the next two games.

Haliburton’s output from the first three quarters was exceeded by 10 other players - Pascal Siakam, Myles Turner, Aaron Nesmith, Andrew Nembhard, Bennedict Mathurin, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, Alex Caruso, and Aaron Wiggins.

Witnessing how the Pacers struggled in the game, fans berated Haliburton for not being aggressive enough to start the game, which could have clinched a crucial 2-0 edge.

"'Top 10 superstr' getting outplayed by 'Aaron Wiggins' in a NBA Finals game. What has Adam Silver done to my wonderful league," one tweeted.

Haliburton finished with 17 points, three rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks, but had five turnovers in the loss. It was an improvement from Game 1, where he scored 14 points and hit the game-winning jumper late on to lift the Pacers to the win.

Game 3 will take place on Wednesday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, where the Pacers are expected to come out strong in front of their home crowd.

Haliburton called them "box score watchers," as he felt that fans are being too focused on the statistics instead of the actual game.

“The way the game is digested by the fans sometimes. I think it’s a lot of boxscore watchers,” he said.

Tyrese Haliburton has been the main cog that has run the Pacers offense throughout the season, leading to upset victories against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round, the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second and the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals.

He has averaged 18.5 points and 9.5 assists per game in the playoffs for the Pacers, who are playing their first NBA Finals in 25 years.
