The latest Xbox Games Showcase has confirmed the launch of several new games that have caught the gaming community in a frenzy. Much like the highly anticipated Summer Games Fest, this event revealed lots of new games and featured trailers for some previously announced ones as well.
That said, here are the seven best announcements from the recent Xbox Games Showcase on June 8, 2025.

The 7 best reveals at Xbox Games Showcase
1) High on Life 2
If you ever wanted to be a bounty hunter using alien guns that talk as you shoot, High on Life 2 will fit your bill perfectly. As a sequel, this game aims to improve upon everything that made its predecessor such a ridiculous concept to begin with.
High on Life 2's trailer, as presented at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, suggested the series to be adopting a similar trajectory as Doom’s evolution into Doom Eternal — amping up the speed and aggression as much as possible in subsequent titles. While not much about the sequel's story was revealed, it seems that its predecessor’s zany combat has been made zanier. The game has been given a release window around winter 2025.
2) Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
2024’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was a major success among the playerbase due to its amazing single-player campaign and brutal Zombies game mode. Activision seems keen on continuing to bank on this formula, announcing the arrival of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
While the publishers haven't disclosed a release date, fans will be happy to know that Davis Mason, the protagonist of Black Ops 2, is set to return as the main playable character. The story will be set in the year 2035, 40 years after the events of Black Ops 6. With robots and AI getting their spotlight in this trailer, it seems players will be pulled back to the future after the last few games being set in the past or during current times.

3) The Blood of Dawnwalker
The Blood of the Dawnwalker has been teased quite a bit following its reveal last year. It has since garnered a fan following, likely due to its development being helmed by CD Projekt Red director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz. For those unaware, Konrad has previously worked on legendary RPG titles like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077.
This is a vampire-themed dark fantasy action RPG set in the 14th century, with gameplay similar to The Witcher 3. While its release date hasn’t been confirmed, its gameplay is all set to be revealed on June 21, 2025.

4) Clockwork Revolution
If you have been waiting for Ken Levine’s Judas or Bethesda’s Fallout 5 for quite a few years after the release of the critically acclaimed Bioshock: Infinite, Clockwork Revolution seems to be the perfect game to scratch that esoteric first-person shooter itch, where you shoot your enemies and cast spells.
Revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, this title is set in the steampunk metropolis of Avalon, a world where you can control time to alter the events of the story. The game will also feature dialogue choices that enable players to experience different stories based on the replies they opt for. However, its release date hasn’t been revealed, with the trailer only showing a “Coming in due time” at the end.

5) Invincible VS
If you are a fan of the Invincible comics and animated series (on Amazon Prime), you will be relieved that the IP is finally getting its own video game in the form of Invincible VS, as revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025.
It seems to be a 3v3 tag-team fighting title with gameplay reminiscent of Dragon Ball FighterZ and the recently announced Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Invincible VS is set to be released sometime in 2026 and will be a day-one Game Pass title.
6) Persona 4 Revival
Persona 4 is one of the best games in the acclaimed Persona series of JRPG games. Like the makeover that Persona 3 got in the form of last year’s Persona 3 Reloaded, this time, you'll get to go back to the town of Inaba to solve a murder mystery in Persona 4 Revival. The title was revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase in June 2025.
Persona 4 has been one of the best in the series due to its plot and gameplay, and Revival is seemingly all set to release sometime soon (hopefully this year) since you can wishlist it right now.

7) Mudang: Two Hearts
Whenever it comes to events like the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, it’s always the lesser-known titles like Mudang: Two Hearts that generate the most hype. In this South Korean game, you seemingly play as a soldier in a near future where North and South Korea are uniting under violent circumstances.
This game will feature both third-person shooter and stealth gameplay elements inspired by games like Gears of War and Splinter Cell. Moreover, you can also play as a K-pop star who seems central to the story. The title is slated to release sometime in 2026.
