About UEFA Conference League 2024-25

The UEFA Conference League is an European annual football competition, established in 2021. It was previously known as the UEFA Europa Conference League and was renamed to the UEFA Conference League in 2024. It is a third-tier tournament in Europe, with the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League being the first and second, respectively. UEFA Conference League 2024-25 Format
The 2024-25 UEFA Conference League campaign introduced a revamped format in alignment with UEFA's broader restructuring of all of its club competitions. A total of 36 clubs competed in the league phase, where each team played six matches (three home and three away) against different opponents. The top eight teams advanced directly to the round of 16. The teams that ranked ninth and 24th entered the knockout phase playoffs. Teams who finished from 25th to 36th were knocked out of the competition.
In the knockout round playoffs, two-legged ties determined which teams progressed to the last-16 stage. The seedings were based on the league phase rankings, with teams between ninth and 16th playing against clubs between 17th and 24th. All the knockout rounds, except the final, were two-legged ties.
